AFRICAN FASHION COLLECTIVE BY AFI
The 20th AGOA Forum was celebrated with a grand Gala Dinner at the Nasrec Expo Centre. The event was graced by esteemed attendees such as Ebrahim Patel, South Africa’s Department of Trade, Industry, and Cooperation Minister, and Katherine Tai, the United States Trade Representative.
The highlight of the evening was the African Fashion Collective by AFI, presented by Africa Fashion International, Africa’s leading fashion company, retailer, and development platform. Themed ‘Made In Africa’, this spectacular fashion show exhibited a sophisticated collection of Pan-African fashion, featuring garments by fashion designers and brands from AGOA partner nations such as Senegal, Ghana, Rwanda, Kenya, Nigeria, Lesotho, Botswana, and South Africa.
For the past 16 years, AFI has been dedicated to promoting African fashion on the global stage and propelling designers to international recognition. The core objective of AFI is to create a robust business platform and ecosystem that facilitates trade for African fashion and brands.
Dr Precious Moloi-Motsepe, a visionary businesswoman and philanthropist, conceived AFI with a deep admiration for African creativity, craftsmanship, and culture.
