The problem with branding eatables is that in time they inflate the prices degrade in quality for the greed of money similar to brands like 3Roses tea Coffee day they’ve lost their taste and reputation as finest beverages in time and now are degraded and mingled among competitors ; nowadays the local cafeteria produce quality tea coffees than there ever were in CCD and the brandish tea companies had and have today ; people will sought out quality over brands every time and in a developed nation you can’t expect to survive Also in a market like India were even those small eateries provide quality tasty treats unlike those brandished giants with zero stuff

I still remember trying jumbo vada pav for the first time. It was really disappointing, they couldn't even compare with what the regular street vendors would offer. But yes, if my relatives ever came from abroad, I'd bring them a Jumbo Vada pav just for safety concerns. Indian road side vendors need to up their cleanliness and safety standards. None of these so called brands would be able to compete with them.
You can't say if it's branded then it have a superior quality. And never apply this in case of vadapav
All branded item also giving low quality product ,gone are those days of quality
These vada pav are not traditional at all. They taste like carboard
vada pav is mostly consumed as main food by low income ppl. For others it is like a snack. If u increase the price why should some one eat vada pav they can eat some thing else. That's is how cost of living increase. Hit on local business ppl and try to become big. It never works. In Australia I have never seen a nescafé or starbucks. Bcz the single shops owners make good coffee and with lower price. So if some makes good at lower price ppl will take that. Vada pav is not a unique desert to pay more

They dont have any "Vada Pav" now. They're chasing after McDonald's. They do have a few good products but the quality is drastically lower than McDonald's. He's absolutely doing opposite to what he is saying here. He's charging more or less same price as McDonald's with 10% quality that of McDonald's & Burger King.
