Wow the second hand embarrassment I’m feeling for whoever left that comment 😂. I was born and raised in South Africa and have had the privilege of traveling to some bordering Southern African countries but knowing how big our beautiful continent is, I realise I haven’t even scratched the surface of Africa. I’m ashamed to say I’ve been to more European countries than African countries (to be fair most of them are the size of single provinces😂)
My goal is to travel to as many African countries as possible before I consider going to another continent again.
A researcher might know more about one aspect of African or any culture, history, people, countries, technology, sport, and conflict, than an African living in African or a European living in Europe, because of rigorous research.
Depends…. If you as an African have only lived in one country all your live while the foreigner have lived in several countries for multiple years then it could make sense.
You will have different perspectives anyway, no matter what.
Living in africa dosent mean you know more about africa than the next.we all have Google. But i have met a lot of africans that only know their own area of africa. But know nothing about africa

I'm from the southern states of America, and my southern accent doesn't sound like the God awful Hollywood sterotypical accent. Which is because there are different types of southern accents.. they don't all sound the same. You don't hear a Mississippian with the same accent as a North Carolinian's accent. And some northerner from New York said he could do it better.
It sounded awful. Like, really, really bad and stereotypical. He said he sounded more southern than me. Like, honey.. you'd make any Southerner cringe in one second.

As an African, I’ve never really been a fan of your videos as I’ve always thought they were redundant and often misleading. However, this video is factual, relatable and genuine, and I LOVE it. I’ve always come across pale folks who engage in “Afrisplaining” and I’ve always confronted them about it. But I had never quite articulated the idea behind “Afrisplaining” the way you articulated it in this video. So thanks for that.
