He’s looking for Citizenship, he’s not interested in you. I know Congolese and Nigerians very well. You can’t really find a genuine African men who will truly want you for you without looking for citizenship, except for South Africa. A friend had a South African boyfriend and wanted him to move the US. He refused, and that was it.

So, from what I hear, the "the love scammers" will first condition you with something that will stop you dead on your tracks. Once they've captivated you, they then begin a journey of scamming you. I think he went the astrology route with you because you're an American and chances were, you believed in the forces of the universe and these astrological readings were going to lead to you forking out money for one thing or another, subsequently you giving up your entire life savings.
If you were a South African woman, he would have done something along the African spiritual route (ancestors etc), marries you, and then tell you that his ancestors told him that you need go to the bank and withdraw every cent in your account. If you've been working for a decade or more, go to work and tender your letter of resignation and apply for your pension fund. And stupidly, MANY South African women have fallen victims of these guys. He takes your money and vanishes with it. Ironically, you the one who picked up a vibe and I'm supposing there will never be another date> Good for you.
