Working 50 hours a week allows her to enjoy her kids? USA has a crazy understanding of work-life balance. I honestly think if you want to enjoy your kids, 30h is optimal and 40h is a struggle.
I love this story as it personifies what is possible with hard work, perseverance and believing in YOU! I do believe wholeheartedly that for those growing a business, it is equally important to focus on commitment to work life balance as it is to focus on the company. If you burn the candle at both ends and don’t enjoy a balance, it is not likely to sustain success…which is why half of businesses close by year 5.
