The real billionaires are actually wearing simple plain clothes and an unknown plain bag vs the not so filthy rich people that shows off their luxury stuff from top to bottom where they live to see people turn their heads when they walk by. So don't be surprised if you see rich people wearing Casio watches instead of Rolex and other luxury watches

I’m not rich but the second I see someone with a flashy item, my first thought is “oh, who made you feel so small as a child that you need strangers to awe at you?”

I never ever bought luxury items, not even 2nd hand. I hate what they represent and would never wear anything with message or initials of someone I don't even know 😂 embroidered on them, I'd feel stupid 🤣
The only inscription I would wear on my t-shirt or hat would be my own or my grandchildren'initials 😉
Also in my younger days I wasn't rich, but I wasn't poor either. I had other priorities, raising 3 kids all by myself.
My sons eventually demanded branded clothes at one point during their preteens, I didn't agree but didn't want to argue non stop. I found some 2nd hand stuff to buy and throw away once I took the buttons off and sewed them on an ordinary clothing of my Son'ms😂😂😂 I could trick them for a while but not for long lol. Eventually they outsmarted me. Well too bad for them, when they grew up they could buy whatever they want, I told them. For a short moment I double crossed my own dogma just for the sake of some peace, and because they believed they needed to be clothed like some buddy in their school I suppose.

Ehhh. As I get older the less I care about what people think of me. I'm going out of my way to buy cloths base on quality and minimal to none branding.

i could not care aless im not interested in status, if u can not save my soul and offer eternal life im not interested. Im always ready to walk away they changed their minds very quickly. Celebrities have sold their souls I certainly do not want to be like them living for materialistic gain.

And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

In fairness, some of those things hold their value or even go up in price like Rolex. But we are talking about a 20,000 and up version, and then maintain it is hundreds of dollars every time you need the battery changed or it has to be cleaned properly. Personally, I think it's a boring brand, not innovate or attractive by most standards. Without the label it would be nothing.

those who wear these brands are sick in the head for sure . wear anything. These clothes never bring you happiness related to the soul, on the contrary, they make them miserable in the long run. thank goodness I stopped wearing new clothes. some family members bought me a nice suit, a shirt and a tie two years ago and I never wore them and prefer wearing clean and comfortable old clothes.

Back in the 2000s, when i lived in NYC, i went ape shit over a pair of Dior fuchsia heels that i saw in Vogue magazine. I called the store to check the price, and they cost $725 !
The saleswoman said that she would have to special order them because they didn't have any size 7
I told her i would be in the next day.👠😂

I also learned that most of Paris chic restaurantds lining the Champs Elyssee are staffed not with French cooks but from Bangladesh, India, the Congo, and Gyuana, anybody except French. Why? The owner said that French people only want to cook but not clean up as the restaurant are usually small and short of staff.

It's amusing how luxury stores sell their $5000 handbags to Chinese tourists in Europe, even though they bought them from China for just $57 each.

Funny enough, the popular luxury brands like LV, Gucci (although they're getting back to quality) & Prada, Balenciaga etc…, when I used to buy their clothes or accessories, they would peel very quickly. When I started wearing Brunello Cucinelli, Thom Brown, Tom Ford, Zegna, Zilli, Brioni, the quality is through the roof. They're going to last you years and still look AND fit like it's brand new. It's like the popular brands take the same approach as fast fashion but just charge ridiculous markups. So I don't believe luxury brands are rip offs, I believe you just have to know what you're buying in terms of quality vs paying for the brand name and that's when I realised there are two sides to Luxury fashion.

One sides prioritises hype, exclusivity and branding, that's your Gucci, LV, Balenciaga, Prada etc… The other side prioritises quality, structure, fit and longevity, I mentioned some of them earlier.

You can find a Hoodie for $200 that is more quality than a $800 hoodie at the same time you can find an $800 hoodie that is impossible to find at a lower price-point unless you make it yourself, it all comes down to the brands objective & purpose. Again, some brands prioritise hype, branding and exclusive drops more than quality and that's how they justify their price-point, while you can have another brand at the same price-point that solely prioritises the quality, structure, fit and longevity of their clothing and that's how they justify the exact same price point. It all comes down to if you know what you're buying.
