Costco may sounds a dream company to work but my experience was terrible working in Deli Department inside a freezer with pressure of meals preparation and handle everything frozen, front/end cashier same time do go backs and merchandise organization working as a stocker merchandise at night and cleaning the store before open do all the compactors then jump to front/end, jump to bakery, keep produce organized for $17.50 honestly it’s not worthy. I’m not lazy person and probably that’s why my supervisors over abused me but not money will pay you enough to keep it up with all the hard work and not recognition in my experience Costco abused me as a worker management have preferences to hire family members and friends of friends. Working in Costco didn’t work for me and many of my other coworkers that left after me. The only good thing is tine and half pay in Sundays but they never aloud me to work more than 6hrs on Sunday’s.

Does anyone know why every single video of this type has that annoying jingle music in the background? I seriously can't stand it. It's like the one trick the editors of these videos have and they've been doing it for a literal decade now. Stop already.

Costco gives local managers very little control. At my local Costco in Delaware County, PA, Seattle HQ decided to relocate self-checkout. Traffic flow for both self-checkout and assisted checkout is now much slower. Local management agrees that everything goes more slowly, but Seattle demands compliance regardless.

Costco is hanging on tenaciously to DEI.

Costco stood up to the MAGA demand that companies drop DEI policies and it was smart to do so. A forklift driver would rarely be given the chance to rise to upper management (let alone CEO) in most corporations, who want a "corporate fit", someone who's like the people already at the top. Ron Vachris is really switched on, while at the same time he has both feet on the ground

I wish more companies recruited executive leadership from their own rank and file. It provides so much more value than when the board hires the entire c-suite externally.

Really well conducted interview from the interviewer. Compared to a lot of interviewers she does not take too many space by guessing and tries to show off how much she knows.

Several years ago I went on a one woman write in comment card campaign at my local Costco addressing “Mr. Kirkland” to bring back the half sheet apricot cream filled carrot cakes. They were humorous yet serious I was demanding the return. It was a futile attempt, obviously.
